Catch up post.

I'm spending the day worrying, my daughter is back in court yet again because of her ex. Her barrister and the police don't think she should attend but her ex's barrister has insisted. As a compromise she will attend the court but not appear in open court. Her ex is just too dangerous and unstable. This is giving me deja vu as my barrister insisted on escorting me to my car after my divorce and she was right to as my first husband was stood by my car. My barrister blocked his car in so I was able to get into my car and escape safely. So whilst I'm worrying I though I'd do a catch up post.

1) I've finally got the living room how I want it, I've tried a few different ways of positioning the furniture and I finally have one that suits me. The room appears bigger and last night for the first time since I moved in I sat in the living room until 10 o'clock.

2) I've realised why sometimes my neighbour's black cat is friendly and sometimes not, it is two different cats, belonging to two different neighbours, both cats are the same colour with the same markings.

3) I have a raft of letters from the hospital, all are asking me to phone them, i can't do this so I'm saving the letters until my daughter has time to look at them.

4) I'm having problems with my phone, this time it is Steve that is causing the problems. I will get it sorted next week.

5) I've ordered and received a packet of wild flowers seeds to scatter in my garden and in my daughter's garden.

6) I've been to the pub for lunch, I was a bit unsure after the rudeness of the women at the next table last time I visited, but, big girls knickers on and off I went. I had chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it.

7) I couldn't eat all the chicken so I wrapped up the last piece in my napkin and put it in my pocket, I explained to Beano that he could have it later for his tea.

8) I take Beano's blanket with me when I go to the pub, he understands that this means he must sit quietly whilst I eat. I was drinking my coffee when I realised that Beano was no longer sat on his blanket. The little toad had snuck over and taken the chicken out of my pocket and snaffled it!

What an ordeal for your daughter, I hope she is okay. As if she hasn't enough to do parenting many children. As for the hospital letters, it's like some bad sit-com off the TV. Good on you for going back to the pub for lunch. Sad old crones lost!!!

Your comment about Beano made me laugh out loud! He's a bright boy!
The identical cats made me titter as well. Be careful which one you stroke . . .

So sorry to hear of what's going on in your daughter's life and that her ex-husband's barrister can make her go to court. How awful to have to live in fear of him.

I hope you continue to go out for lunch and that before long you will be able to join in the conversations. Beano's escapades would be a good tale to tell.

ha, beano reminds me of my dog... (who btw is an assistance dog, we do exactly the same thing - she has a roll-up mat with velcro straps on that she knows, if it goes down, that's her spot. Would it be worth attaching some velcro straps to your blanket or looking for something similar that is a proper mat for Beano? it comes with a convenient carry handle too.)
