It took ages to compete the form and it really bought it home to me just how much life has changed, especially when I realised that Steve does nothing on his own so I am constantly on call.

Application
Steve had a visitor today, she has helped him apply for a blue badge, it's a waiting game now to see if he gets it. I had looked into it but given up as it was so complicated and Steve was constantly interrupting me when I did it and contradicting everything I did.
It took ages to compete the form and it really bought it home to me just how much life has changed, especially when I realised that Steve does nothing on his own so I am constantly on call.

I have a Blue Badge and it is indeed very useful. Hope you manage to get one - a letter or certificate of some kind from the doctor helped in my case I think.
Yes Hester, it can get very wearing being "on call" 24/7. I have the same with my wife, wheelchair user for 9 years and just about bed-ridden for the last 2. People think it's an easy job, but it's not. You have my empathy.
Best of luck with the blue badge, they can be very useful, but the allocated parking spaces are often abused.
I can't see why you wouldn't get it. I hope it will help you.
Fingers crossed your application is successful, I'm pretty confident it will be. Our lives are a constant twist and turn. I feel for you.
my dearly beloved would have ranted and raved for days at my failure to fill in a form for him , but thats how it is now. Hes constantly mr angry at the slightest thing . One of the nurses at the doctors pointed out what a cheery soul he was despite all that is wrong with him , I did tell her that hes a sodding aggressive nasty nightmare most of the time and that winter brings out the worst in him
