The marina has now closed to all weekend and holiday boaters, everyone was notified today, some people immediately announced that they were coming anyway as they were planning on doing some maintenance on their boat, they have been told they cannot.
There is just us few liveaboard boaters here now, we shouldn't be here but the canal is still Red Boarded, so here we stay.
Today has been sunny and warm, we have walked Beano around the marina, we have avoided the towpath as it is very busy with joggers and cyclists.
One of my boating neighbours went shopping today she shopped for other people too, she got me a loaf of bread. She went to Waitrose where they were giving away their flowers, so she gave me a bunch.

Kind people. Stay safe. x
lovely flowers..it's the little things...wishing you health and sunshine...
My husband just watched a program on bringing back the waterways and canals all over the UK... very interesting... thought of you !
Our neighbours texted early today to see if we needed anything. Its reassuring that people care.
My husband went to Asda on Monday, spent £7-50 and was given a £10 Mother's Day bouquet, Chrysanths, Gerbera, Roses and the usual assorted leafage! To his credit, he admitted they were freebies, he could have claimed they were from him and I wouldn't have been any the wiser!!! They'd ordered thousands of them, but had almost all left as people weren't visiting Mums, Nans etc!
You can't get bread flour or yeast for love nor money around here, so we went out yesterday and again this morning, yesterday a 34 mile trip to a water mill for freshly milled bread flour, today to a bakery 8 miles in the other direction to get fresh yeast which I have divided into 12g 'parcels' and frozen.
I make our bread all the time, and never usually have any problem getting supplies, but lately everyone thinks they're Paul Hollywood!
Stay safe.
