Freezer audit

Because of Steve's behaviour with regards food, I stopped cooking meals for him about three years ago.

Now he is unwell he wants me to start providing meals for him again. Actually he doesn't want me too, but as he lied to the Dr about what he eats, he needs me to cook.

We normally order a Tesco shop on a Thursday for delivery on Friday. This week, because he's been told to cut down his alcohol intake, we can't meet the minimum amount needed for a free delivery.

As we have Aldi and Lidl at the top of the road I've suggested I take my wally trolley and go shopping. Once I'd checked the cupboards, fridge and freezer all we need is bread, toilet rolls and I need some fruit. It should be a very cheap week food wise.

What's the diagnosis for Steve? Maybe your cooking will help him get healthier. Less alcohol will help, too.

Best of luck.
DH is doing his best to become an obese diabetic, buying junk food when he is out.

Could you write a letter to his GP stating that since his stroke, his personality has completely changed, citing his volatility, junk food addiction, alcohol abuse and that he frequently tells lies. You could enclose the receipts of his shopping to show how much junk food and alcohol he consumes every week. Forewarned is forearmed. You deserve a medal. Essie

I so agree with Essie's comments. Maybe this is the time to get some professional help with Steve's mood swings etc.l know you use this blog as an outlet for the troubles with him, but maybe it's time to be more public about the situation. Like many others here, thinking of you and your best interests x

Home again, home again, jiggety jig.

I can't say I'm pleased to be home, Steve sulked for the first few hours but I ignored him. There is no point doing anything else. A...
