I can hear again.

Today was my audiology appointment and I have new hearing aids!

So no more guessing what people are saying to me.

No more nodding and trying to follow conversations.

I'm speaking too quietly so I need to practice getting my volume correct but I'm sure I will get there.

Autumn group tomorrow and the village coffee morning on Wednesday. I was told that the coffee morning was moving from the pub to the village hall but that's not happening now. I think there was a bit of in-fighting between various attendees.

I'm glad as that means I can continue to attend, if it had moved to the village hall I wouldn't be able to attend as I can't take Beano.

I've also had my suspicions confirmed about who was causing some problems within the group. I tend to avoid conflict although it doesn't scare me I'm glad to know I was on the right track.

What absolutely wonderful news about your new hearing aids. They’ll take some getting used to and won’t be perfect but nothing is. What a positive step ❣️ And enjoy your outing with Beano.

Fabulous news, I hope that you can continue to get used to your new hearing aids. Such a bonus for you. As to the coffee morning argy bargy, it's everywhere i'm afraid, some people have to create conflict, live and let live is my motto. Carole R

That is brilliant news, I am so glad that your hearing aid appointment was finally sorted out. Life is going to be so much better for you now, AND good news about the coffee mornings remaining in the pub too, Beano will be as pleased as you. :-)
