Diet

Not a weight loss diet, that ship has long since sailed!
Captain Hot Stuff is a fussy eater, he sees all vegetables as the work of the devil, apart from cabbage, broccoli and frozen peas and then only a small spoonful of them.
I'd got into the habit of only buying what he would eat.
But then I decided I was tired of not eating a greater variety of veg so last week I bought fennel, courgette, aubergine and cauliflower and I made a tray of roasted veg and ate a huge portion with my meals.
This week I bought another selection and I'm steaming some of them every evening.
CHS keeps asking 'Are you really going to eat all that?'

Can't you get more veg into his diet by making soup. Serve it with a bowl of grated parmesan, crisp croutons or good bread and he ought to enjoy that without the realisation that he is eating all those veg he abhors.

I couldn't live without my veg assortment.

I'd miss my veg both cooked and in salads - have very little trouble getting my 7 to 10 a day. Roast veggies at this time of year are the best - enjoy!

I'm afraid I am very lazy about preparing vegetables. Soup is my main way of keeping up with them. Tonight I will put a package of frozen spinach in my meal but I don't really like it. Hopefully the taste will be masked by the other ingredients! One problem I have is eating vegetables before they spoil. I have eaten cabbage every night this week and there's still half of it left.

Does wine count as a fruit or vegetable? Then I would be OK.

My husband was the same when we met (we were both in our 40s so the behaviour was well established). Eleven years on he’s much better trained and eats veg because he knows it’s good for him. Though he still says he doesn’t really like it.

DB eats most veg except anything from the cabbage family, all my favourite veg. Still, we manage and he puts up with me eating them even though he hates the smell.

Lol Chris a lot of people wish that wine counted towards a healthy diet.
CHS was a similar age VC, but his eating habits have not improved unfortunately.
He will eat some cabbage but again only a small amount.

Wardrobe

We have a wardrobe in the bedroom that was left by the previous resident. It is perfectly sound but it smells of stinky feet. I've tried...
