What the actual!

My Dr said she'd arrange an an appointment for me at the local hospital to get my hearing checked.

Sure enough as short time later I received a letter giving me an appointment on 9th April at 2:30.

Yesterday morning I received a text message to remind me that I have an appointment on 7th April at 4 p.m.

So when do I actually attend? It's not like I can phone up and check, I can't hear well enough to make phone calls! Which is why I need the appointment in the first place, give me strength! It would seem like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!

I was referred for X rays on both lower legs to check arthritis progress. Few days later I got TWO letters re my appointment for said X rays. One for X ray on my right leg, other letter was for X ray on my left leg. Funnily enough, it was the same date, time and location for both appointments .......... You really couldn't make this up could you?!

I would text them back to confirm the proper date. Or ask your daughter to help you call.

We regularly get text messages and phone calls on our mobiles from our GP surgery....this despite me constantly telling them we have no signal here at home on our mobiles and they should use the landline (the texts and missed calls show up when we go out somewhere). Nobody listens nowadays.

Does nothing work anymore? I dread anything breaking and needing replacing, making appointments, and many, many other things that need doing. Lack of staff, lack of training and heaven forbid you actually want to speak to a person! Is this progress…really? Grumpy June🤣

Is there an email address on the letter you can contact to find out ? If not have a look see if you can find a website with an email address. Is it possible to reply to the text ? I'm guessing not but you never know. I hope you get it sorted.

I got a hospital appointment for next June, after I had been there just before Christmas. Since then it has been changed twice! But I've had umpteen messages and letters! No wonder the NHS has no money left. 🙄
