New shower

We have had a shower fitted and the bath taken out.

I know some people prefer a bath but not us.

Its large walk in shower  with only a small step up so no more clambering over the side of the bath.

I love my shower and I think it’s very sensible to stop clambering into a bath. Enjoy your shower!

That's such a good idea! I hate stepping over the side of the tub-even with something to hold onto, it makes me nervous!

That seems a wise move and the shower looks very spacious. Enjoy! Catriona

We replaced a never used tub for a much larger shower. If we should ever need to sit, we can get a shower stool and use the hand wand. So much safer to get in and out of and we also had a hand rail installed for safety.

We had the bath taken out and replaced with a large shower cubicle when we had the bathroom remodelled about 18 months ago.
It's one of the best things we've ever done, so much cleaner, and much easier for both of us to access.
A bath is desirable in a family home, but as you're never going to be selling your flat as anything other than a small 1-2 person apartment, a shower is actually a plus point.
It will make your life so much easier, and safer too.
We have a non slip floor in ours, but if by any chance you didn't go for that option, please get really strong non slip mats a.s.a.p.
We spent a couple of nights in a very posh hotel a few weeks ago, and as wonderful as everything was, the shower had a slippery floor, so I asked for more towels, and put them on the floor of the shower to make it safer. I was very surprised to find that a hotel would not fit non slip floors in their shower cubicles!

Looks wonderful! We are shower people too.

A very sensible renovation. That's what I use mostly although I still like an occasional bath.

I replaced my bath with a shower because I could no longer lift myself up out of the bath. Spent a very scary few hours struggling to do just that before painfully scrambling over the side of the bath and ending up with bruised ribs.
I do miss being able to relax in a sweet-smelling warm bath, but safety is more important. I have a rubber bath mat in the shower tray to avoid slipping. ;)

That looks great, and is a very sensible replacement for a bath.
My Mum had many happy years use of her shower when she could no longer use the bath that used to be in it's place. And they do the switch over so quickly don't they, with hardly any mess.

Rubber flip flops are great for preventing slipping if you dont want a bath mat down which tends to go mouldy if not dried each day

I need a shower rather than the one over the bath - I have to lift 3 dogs daily and one is quite large - Plus my Lily lurcher has to have a bit of help some days too - It's the seeds I must rinse from their feet x
