Whilst CHS is still consuming pork chops and pasties and scotch eggs I made myself some soup.
I roasted 3 large tomatoes, an onion some garlic and basil.
Once cooked I put them in a pan with some water, whizzed it together with my stick blender, then I added half a tin of chick peas and a stock cube.
Heated it through and it made 3 portions.

Oh Kate - I think I agree with your husband on that one! Damn cheek!
Hester the soup sounds wonderful. It is minus -9C here this morning so I am going to be wearing my parka to church instead of an Easter bonnet. I have some turkey legs in the freezer so I think that I will make a big pot of soup out of them tomorrow since it is to stay cold all week. Soup is always a good thing.
Oh Margie that's cold! Brrr!
I've been making soup again Hester as this damp cold weather has me craving more than a cold sandwich at lunchtime.
Soup is our go to meal. Love it.
Sounds really nice
