Not so much ta-dah, more Oh bugger

My Rainbow blanket is finished.

I took these pics before the daylight waned and it was before all the ends had been woven in.

Here is the 'Oh bugger' I ran out of violet on the final border, I finished it with a nearly matching yarn.
As my Grandma used to say, 'No-one's going to stop a galloping horse to look at it.'

Yes!! The border frames it so well too..glad you decided about playing it safe and using the white yarnas this has great strength and pizazz.
The baby will really enjoy the colors and pattern.

The 90 year old woman who taught me tailoring used to say that if someone got close enough to spot a slight imperfection that you should slap them!

Looks good. My Dad used to say a man on a galloping horse wouldn't notice. We still say it :)

Love those bright colours! My daughter and I were working at making fondant buttons for a birthday cake yesterday and we were both rejecting more than we were keeping. Eventually she said, and I could hear my late mother's voice so clearly, " they'll never be seen by a man on a galloping horse Mum-let's just get itdone". I laughed aloud when I read your post later in the evening. I also think it's better without the white. Catriona

It looks like you've been doing treble stitch, if it bothers you you could undo the last side and rework it in double crochet, you'd have enough yarn to do that then.
Otherwise, as everyone agrees, just leave it.

It's gorgeous, and I expect nobody would notice the border unless you told them.

Wardrobe

We have a wardrobe in the bedroom that was left by the previous resident. It is perfectly sound but it smells of stinky feet. I've tried...
