Why, in the name of all that's sensible would anyone think that it is acceptable for their child to bring their scooter into a corner shop?
There are only 3 or 4 aisles in this shop, the child riding the scooter was 9 or 10, why couldn't he stay outside the shop or failing that, how about, shock horror, Mother refused to let the child bring the scooter at all. That way we all could have shopped without snagged tights & flat toes!

From Margie in Toronto - Just another example of the selfishness that seems to be everywhere these days - no consideration for others at all. Mother should have been stopped by the shop clerk when she first entered - if the clerk didn't want to deal with it then the shop can pay for a new set of tights!
It must be that same parent that lets her child either roller skate around the supermarket, or sits her child IN the trolley that I will put my food into!! I have complained about lack of hygiene on that many a time, but it fell on deaf ears!! I await the news of some parent taking a supermarket to Court because their little darling has fallen out of the trolley and got a bump somewhere!!! Can I then say 'told you so'?!!! Kindest regards Grumpy!!!!
