Please don't set fire lanterns burning for the NHS, they are a risk to animals and people.
The fire service has enough do as it is, Priti Patel has announced they are to help the police with domestic abuse on top of their normal duties.
Please don't add to their problems.

They need banning ( the lanterns not the fire brigade!)
I agree, should be banned. Who is promoting this I wonder? Probably a manufacturer of the wretched things.
They can be a hazard for airplanes as well and were banned here in the US ....
I couldn't agree more
Didn'tknow this was happening - I have heard nothing about it happening round here. I agree they should have been banned years ago.
I think those lanterns are an utter hazard!
Who would have thought that setting fire to something and letting it float away to potentially land somewhere distant and flammable could be a problem? And it's not like there is anything else using the sky like, for example, birds or planes, and it's not as if the actual debris could cause any issues. I may have been hit by the sarcasm stick today.
Also, I didn't know that about the fire service. That is a tough assignment and they cannot possibly get the training they need quickly enough.
Good vibes and good health to you.
