A Jolly Up was arranged

There is no I in team and sometimes no scone either.
A little treat was arranged at work by a member of my team.
Scones with jam and cream, yummy.
Not that I was included, I'm only part of the team when it suits.
This particular time it obviously didn't suit someone.
Roll on October!!!

They actually had the nerve to sit there eating their cream teas while you weren't even given one????? Unbelievable! Well, you know what to say the next time one of them needs an urgent job doing - tell them you're just going out for your very own cream tea. GITS!!!
As you say - roll on October (don't hold your breath for a leaving present, though.)

You work with some pretty vile people.
Even I will be glad when you are out of there and don't have to put up with their crap any longer-x-

I'm afraid I'd have been very sarcastic and asked them if they'd all enjoyed their scones and perhaps they could remind me what they tasted like as it's years since I had one! They sound a right shower, as my father used to call some people!

I work in a separate room, so I'm easily overlooked and forgotten!

UNbelievable. They obviously weren't brought up but dragged up (as my mother would say) with no manners, rude, ignorant and self absorbed. Roll on October, seven months to go. I remember when I was working and things were getting on top of me, I figured out how much of my life was spent at work. I worked for the school board, 6 hours a day and over the full year It amounted to only 20% of my life. Granted they were the prime hours but I decided I wasn't going to Let 20% influence or spoil the other 80%! It helped me!!

I baked last year as it was my 65th birthday but it was for all the staff, some of whom I've known for 14 years and many of them I like.

May I suggest getting together with other non-invitees, and having a FAR BETTER tea with Champagne, smoked Salmon, Caviar, foie gras, etc, and of course not inviting any of the bast*rds who didn't invite YOU.
