Steve's in the garden, manning the BBQ, I did go over but the only seats left were in the sun and it's 30 degrees. It's far too hot for Beano so we've come home again.
I shall take Beano out again about 10 o'clock, hopefully it will be cooler then.
I've read all the Midsomer Murders books I bought for my kindle and a Marlow Murder book. I need to find some more to read.
It would be easier if I could sit glued to the TV but that's not an option. More than an hour and I'm going cross eyed.
I bought myself some new bras, a pack of three, unfortunately one of them was a size 34. I've given it to a neighbour who will take it to a charity shop. It's unworn, as it is a pull on design it went no further than my elbows.
Yes I know I should have returned it but the thought of trying to catch two buses to the nearest Post Office and then two buses home put me off. I really miss driving.

The post office will collect from your home now. I do all my mail and returns this way
I wear those pull on bras now - I've not got much there but still prefer size xl - I won't venture out today as it's too hot for us - He has just p ****d me off saying I look pregnant in my thin t shirt style dress - I'm almost 66 years of age and no longer a teenager I informed him - Gratefully he's gone to bed x
Have you read the books by Ann Perry? She has several series and I've enjoyed all of them.
The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman are good. There are currently 4 in the series and a 5th will be released in September 2025. He's also started a new series, We Solve Murders.
I'm reading a Lesley Thomson book (Detective/Mystery) and it has started off intriguingly. You might like her.
I can highly recommend Elly Griffiths' Dr Ruth Galloway books. There are 21 of them in the series and they are all excellent. You really need to read them in book order to get the best out of them,
Love the Ruth Galloway books. Just read the last one. I also like her series re the female detective from the Indian family. Only read a couple so far but also very good.
I liked all the Anthony Horowitz books. Maggie Murders, Moonflower Murders and Marble Hall Murders.
The Lady Hardcastle series by TE Kinsey are a bit of light relief with a few murders dotted around!
Joffe books publish whole series of books often for around 99p per complete series on Amazon. I subscribed to their newsletter and every Friday receive an email letting me know what's free that week and what's on offer. Really good value, and lots of good authors I'd never heard of - I too read masses of books. Lots for so little cost. Elaine - been reading your blog for many years, sad how things have turned out for you and Steve, count my blessings, and send love to you all.
