Ye gods!
Steve has developed tippity tapinitis.
He sits and taps his feet continuously all evening. I'm ready to nail his feet to the floor with ten inch nails.
I'm still waiting to have my moving date confirmed, estate agents, mortgage advisors and solicitors all seem to take their time. All I can do is keep buggering on, it will happen eventually.
I've purchased an assortment of items ready for when I move, just small things, a potato peeler and a tin opener etc.
I'm slowly collecting items from around the flat and stashing them in the bag in my wardrobe. I'm also ordering some tinned food and dried pulses with the weekly supermarket delivery, these are also hidden in my wardrobe. I do pay for my shopping so I'm not expecting Steve to pay for them.
I will change supermarkets when I move so Steve won't have my new address and as it will be near Christmas I may not be able to get a delivery immediately. This is why I'm stocking up now. There is a local milkman who delivers to the area so I can order stuff from him.
I don't think there is a cooker there either of that is so I will buy an air fryer and a stand alone single ring to cook on.

I've got no full size cooker, I have a Ninja combi oven/airfryer, single electric hob ring and microwave, plus slow cooker, and manage extremely well with these. You'll be fine. You're doing well with collecting stuff ready for the move, I hope it happens soon - before you get to the bashing him round the head with a frying pan stage!
You would be surprised what you can do with a George Foreman Grill and an air fryer. Kettle and toaster as well obviously
Sounds like the move will be soon. You and Beano will be so happy in your new place.
I am curious as to what Steve actually knows about you leaving? Is your wardrobe locked and he cannot get in it? You did mention recently that you had discussed dividing plates etc. Or, does he think you are all talk and will not actually leave? Sorry if this sound like l am prying, but l am a little concerned as to his nasty nature and how he will try to side-swipe your plans. Maybe discuss with Cass, if you haven't done so already. With very best wishes to you and Beano, Sandra x
Sounds like you're a great planner, but I agree with Sandra, be careful with what you want to take along. Maybe you could visit Cass and take some there each time you go. Best of luck. xxoo Cindy/WV
Frustrating times at the moment but exciting times ahead in 2026. Stay safe. June xx
Waiting for any officials takes forever. And ever. I hope your move is soon. I do worry how Steve will react, obviously concerned for your safety. May the move be swift. Carole R.
Keeping everything crossed for you!
I'm assuming that your daughter will be helping you to move and steve won't dare to kick off in front of her. It would be great if you were in your new place and happy for Christmas.
The same thought crossed my mind too. So easy for Steve to empty your wardrobe while you are out (or asleep).I pray that he won't foil your plans to leave. Thinking of you constantly and hoping you will soon be in your new home with Beano. xxxxx
Every day that passes is one day closer to your freedom x
Have a look at the Panasonic combi oven range. I've literally not switched my big oven on in years. The combi and my gas hob are all I use and MUCH easier to clean.
It's wonderful to see how you're making these new plans and taking care of yourself and Beano. We're all cheering you on.
I will be relieved to hear that you and Beano are settled in your new home - flis xx
Great idea's, i use only an air fryer and a single elec hob stand alone one, very rarely use the big oven unless im baking something, also have one of those glass ovens great for cooking a whole chicken and veg.
