I've had a sudden influx of bank debits all from Costa Coffee. There isn't a Costa in the village where I live and I don't buy coffee when I'm out ever. I've managed to stop all of them bar one so far. But it does mean I need to close the account asap.
This is easier said than done as, although I could catch a bus into town and go to the bank I then can't hear anything that is said to me as the bank has a very noisy heating/cooling system that rattles, wheezes and bangs continuously.
My bank cards been stopped, I have some cash probably enough to last me this week. I also have another account so I will transfer everything to my new account and take it from there.

Tell the bank you are sorry but you can’t hear them and is there a quieter place you can discuss matters.
Oh no! is this something your daughter could help you with, going with you to the bank I mean so she can help with what they're saying. I hope you are ok, how in the heck does this even happen ? It sickens me to think that someone you don't know, can get card details so easily without ever even touching your card, & they don't even have to be anywhere near you! I hope you get to the bottom of it and get all your money back x
Just to add, your bank has really let you down here, they are supposed to block suspicious activity and since you never buy Costa coffee and then have a sudden influx that would count as unusual & they should have blocked it all & contacted you.
I hope it is all sorted soon
Is this Steve up to tricks? Seeing what happens if he uses your card to tap and pay, smallish amounts?
Get somebody to take you to a different branch of the bank. Or see if they use a hub somewhere, they do for rural areas good luck! Sandra
Such a nuisance when this happens-hope it is sorted out quickly. Catriona
As several others have said, I think you need professional help to sort out your financial situation to formalise your separation from Steve.
No excuses. You have lots of support both actual and virtual - go for it. And good luck.
Can you make an appointment with the bank? Can you tell them of your hearing difficulties? It really isn't good enough is it that banks are so poor? Carole R.
Gosh that is worrying I hope you can get it all sorted out quickly, perhaps with your daughters help.
