I've just been shouted at by a delivery driver, he was delivering a heavy box and went to the wrong address first, he got yelled at because he was at the wrong house so when he got to me he yelled at me!
I then had a very nasty, ranty text from Steve saying I haven't cancelled the direct debits on the joint account, I'll leave it a couple of days and then check it. I'm not sure how he'd know as he doesn't have a card for that account.
I took myself to the pub for lunch and had sausage and mash and a coffee, Beano was very good and sat quietly on his blanket whilst I ate. The two women, who appeared to be around my age, at the next table were very disapproving and kept glaring at me, I've no idea if they didn't like me, my clothes or my dog or maybe they didn't approve of a lone female visiting a pub. Whatever, I was happy to ignore them and eat my lunch.
Most of the time I'm pretty thick skinned and if I can't understand what I've done to cause their upset I see no reason why I should let their behaviour upset me.

I wonder whether those 2 unpleasant women were just looking for anyone to distract them from their own miserable selves - Doesn't seem to me they were enjoying their lunch - poor things - flis xx
What luck to have a local pub that has good food. My theory is that the two ladies were jealous. A dear little dog and no husband in tow. Best wishes from Northern Ireland xxx
Are dogs allowed in eating establishments there? In USA, animals are not allowed in restaurants, grocery stores and a lot of other places unless they are certified service animals.perhaps they had an issue with Beano.
Yes the pub is dog friendly, the landlords dog was wandering around and there was another dog at a different table.
Some people just are not happy unless they're making someone else miserable. We just have to learn how to ignore them.
Maybe the ladies were American?
Some people are just sour, 😡 June
Rude old hags I say. It is a firm of bullying. I am reminded of Sartre's view "hell is other people". Carole R
