It's been a while since I last blogged, it's been busy here with friends and grandchildren visiting.
I've done a couple of boat cleans so a little extra in homecoming in.
I also managed to scald my left hand quite badly and as I'm left-handed it proved quite inconvenient.
I did it at around 5pm and sat with my hand in cold water until almost 11, fortunately it didn't blister but it was very sore for a few days.
We went for a public today, we nearly didn't stay as there were four very badly behaved children there, running around, screaming and shaking salt and pepper all over the floor. Their doting parents watched them and smiled fondly, I was very tempted to use my death stare, but fortunately they left the pub before long.

I would love a photo of your death stare. Then I could practise mine. x
I copied mine from my mother who was a school teacher, only she could raise one eyebrow which I can't.
So sorry you have scalded yourself, hope it will heal quickly.
Parents who allow their children to run around and annoy others need more than a death stare, a good smack (for the parents) might do them good! Oh, the ability to raise one eyebrow would be wonderful!

Sorry to hear of scald, in case cramped quarters and gas rings cause repeat, tip for next time - *cold water till cold is almost painful, then apply lavender oil, when discomfort returns go back to *. Still may not be too late for lavender if still painful,
Good luck,

The teacher face stern stare is the best for sloppy parenting. As a teacher. I have had lots of practise:) Children will not have any clue how to behave appropriately in society if parents don't teach them. Hope the burn is not stinging too much.
I don't have a death stare. But I do have the mummy finger that pokes you with every word to emphasize the point lol

It's so annoying when children ruin your outing. I find it so hard to keep my thoughts to myself.
Other peoples' children can be so annoying. The other day I went over to some people in a cafe and complimented them on the behaviour of their twins aged two and a half. They were so delighted. I think we should do it more when it occurs.
My hand is better now, thank you to everyone who commented.
I realise I sound like a hypocrite complaining about other people's children when I refused to silence my DGD's in Mcdonald's, but if I'd been in a restaurant with my DGD's I would have kept them quiet. Also my DGD's weren't running around getting in people's way.
Sounds like your customers have hit the lottery. I hope they pay well.I have a wonderful death stare. Literally legendary. I shouldn't enjoy that so much, I guess, but I do.
Also, when my son was small, misbehaving in a restaurant meant he and Momma waited in the car while others ate at their leisure. McDonald's was a different kettle of fish for us as well. You cannot go there expecting to avoid rambunctious children. It's their clubhouse for goodness sakes!
I also suffered quite a scalding on my dominant left hand, once, but completely my own fault. Don't make jello after you have drunk most of a bottle of wine, lol. Hope you are fully healed. Love reading about your life.
