Barking or barking mad?
Steve went out with Harry this morning, on their return our mad cat lady spoke to Steve. She demanded he came home and silenced Beano as he'd been barking for two hours.
Steve, instead of thinking how unusual it was for Beano to bark, immediately agreed to do this and hustled through the front door shouting and ranting.
Beano was asleep on the sofa!
I told Steve to go and explain to the mad cat lady that the noise she could hear was a muntjac in the grounds of the building next door!
She won't have believed him but I'd limited patience left after listening to the muntjac barking for two hours. I couldn't go to see her myself, as I'd have been tempted to rip her head off!

A brilliant piece of writing. The muntjac must have been loud.
You have a lot to contend with, I feel so sorry for you xx
Can't the mad woman and Steve run away together and leave you in peace with your lovely Beano - bless him xx
Muntjacs can be really loud especially when in pursuit of a lady
Really but then we would not have anything sensational to read about LOL
That sounds like quite a comical mix-up! It’s amusing how the barking of a muntjac can be mistaken for a dog's, especially when emotions and impatience are running high. I can just imagine Steve’s confusion and the mad cat lady’s insistence. It’s probably best that Steve handled the situation to avoid any further misunderstandings or potential conflict.
The scenario with the muntjac and the mad cat lady seems like something out of a humorous short story! Hopefully, you and Steve can find a little peace now that the mystery of the barking has been solved.
Isn't it interesting how Steve the drunk
will come in and scream at you because a crazy
women told him to.
Not come talk to you and find out if the dog had
been barking. Or if something is wrong at home
Causing the dog to bark.
Could you be treated with anymore contempt
than that? Well I guess he was angry his beer guzzling
time and as interrupted.
