He's coming home
CHS is coming home in a few hours, from Friday he will receive help from the Early Supported Discharge Team. There is a stroke survivor group that meets in a nearby village hall. So onwards and forwards.
That is good news, please don't be a stoic and "just cope " make sure you ask for all the help that is going, especially if you are living on the boat. You always describe your lovely family so they will be wanting to help as well. All the best too you and CHS.
Good news indeed. I hope he continues to improve and make good use of the support group. Please accept any and all offers of help, particularly from anyone who can help with the boat and organising coal deliveries, etc. You MUSTN'T try to do it all yourself - your hands will be quite full enough just with the care of your lovely, but impatient CHS. xx
What great news, make sure that he behaves and doesn't over do things, he needs to give his body time to heal and know his limitations. Welcome home CHS take care both of you xx
As everyone else has said, accept all the help you are offered. x So pleased he is out so soon bodes well. So good people knew what to do when it happened.
So pleased to hear that CHS is on the mend. It may take some time for him to feel secure on his feet. I've had several small strokes which have left me with balance problems. Together you'll sort things out as long as he takes it slowly and doesn't expect too much too soon. Don't forget to look after yourself.

What does CHS mean please ? I do find it frustrating when people use abbreviations, it's difficult to understand the thread. I've looked it up and it's describes as: an ailment, an area, a job - and more.
That's great news he is doing well , My husband had a stroke about 7 years ago now it's such a worrying time , Even now he has the stroke nurse come once a year to check on things , Hope he recovers swiftly xxx

Make sure you keep him on the straight and narrow - no overdoing it but equally no sitting about moping - neither will do him (or you) any good.
Definitely utilise the help and support that is available to you both.
