I've always struggled to remember what the date is, but now with neither of us working I'm struggling to work out what day it is.
It isn't really important apart from restraining CHS who will get up in the morning and announce 'Let's go to Ikea/B&Q/Dunelm'.
If it's the weekend I refuse to go and suggest we wait until a weekday when the shops will hopefully be less crowded.
It's not long until Easter which means I must remember to avoid the motorway junction near Ikea.
For some reason the world and his wife always decided to take their children to Ikea for a day out over the Easter break. The TV and radio are full of traffic warnings for people to avoid the area and interviews with people who have been stuck in the Ikea car park for five hours.

We've only been to Ikea once, in Cardiff I think it was and we said 'never again'.
I have never been to an Ikea. I believe it is the same for everyone who is no longer working, knowing what day of the week it is. Not only do I have to think about it, even after thinking about it I still don't know.
Saturday! and tomorrow is Sunday......hope this helps!!
thankfully our IKEA does not have this problem. BUT, I have been 3X and only found food that I wanted to eat. I love their cafeteria. Guess my house is full. Ana USA
I love IKEA - but - NEVER go on the weekend - the TWO WEEKS before school goes back in September - and the TWO WEEKS before Christmas - INSANE!!
I love IKEA but DH hates it. We go and have supper their about once a month and I buy dome grocery items. Never, never, never go on the weekend!!! We only live about 10 minutes away and can go any day during the week. Oh, I'm always looking at my watch to see what day it is!
It's crazy they were supposedly meant to be improving the traffic infrastructure in that area as a part of the Ikea Reading development but somehow they managed to make things worse not better. We only ever made the mistake of going on a Sunday - never again - weekday evenings only now!

I've lived this long without going to an IKEA...am sure I can manage to avoid it for the rest of my life..but I hear you can get great deals in the mark down section if you are remodeling
We live in a tourist area and the Bank Holidays are the pits , even going for a breadloaf can turn sour .
