Socks mad

Great excitement this morning, I decided to sort out my knickers drawer and I found a pair of unworn socks

Almost all my socks either have holes in or are so thin as to be see through. I shan't throw them away as I have this book and I'm hoping to make some sock toys out of them.

But first I need to buy some new socks, I find many are too tight around the cuff so I'll wait until I can buy the ones I like before I cut up the old ones.

I like the photo you have at the top of your blog! Lovely!
I have found that diabetic socks are comfy to wear - not tight up around the ankle. I am lucky that I do not have diabetes but the socks work well...

Love the title, stray sock sewing😆I have this vision of all these poor socks being rounded up to work on, on saying that I wouldn’t mind a go myself, back in my playgroup working days, I got the kids to make Hobby horses from a stuffed sock and a piece of dowling, happy days!!

I bought some cheap socks a couple of years ago which looked a bit odd-they had a gathered ankle cuff which made them a bit looser-Everything 5 pounds site-think it was for 10 or 12 pairs x

Have a look at Darn Tough- https://darntough.com
They are guaranteed to never wear out. My daughter and son in law wear them all the time and sent me a pair.

Stray sock sewing!!! I have quite a collection I could turn over to someone. (and as soon as I do, the other sock will turn up, bet on it.

Love the idea of using all those sad single socks. I wear "comfort grip" socks, I buy them in multi-packs they work out much cheaper.

It's not a secret.

Y'day while Steve was out with his friend Bob, Betty phoned and asked if I'd like to go and get the cheap vegetables from the nearby...
