Sorry

I'm struggling with a couple of things at the moment haven't felt like blogging.

I was really looking forward to a few weeks cruising with friends, Steve has decided he doesn't want to do this now and I'm very disappointed.

I'm also dreading a forthcoming wedding, well not the wedding, I'm sure that will be lovely. It's the reception, I can see it being a nightmare. I can't see well enough to be able to recognise people I hardly know and I won't be able to hear what people are saying. I shall try to find a quiet corner to hide in!

What a shame that you can't cruise along with your friends. A bit selfish of Steve but I realise this is just another result of his stroke. I think you will enjoy the wedding more than you anticipate . Good luck

Sorry to hear that Sue. Why has Steve changed his mind? It's tough enough dealing with a personality change when you have a support network around you, unbearably difficult when you are more isolated xxx

I hope Steve will change his mind again about the cruising, it would be so good for you .
Somehow I think the wedding reception will be O.K. Nothing wrong with staying in a quiet corner if that is how you feel at the time.
Are you comfortable with the clothes you both will be wearing at the wedding?
Wishing you the very best.

I wondered how you were-I've have that feeling when looking forwards to something and someone else has other ideas-it's very disheartening-Could you perhaps feel ill on the day to avoid the event x

Just commenting to let you know that people care and are thinking of you. I will keep you in my thoughts.

I know the feeling (not feeling up to blogging) so can sympathize. Better days will come along and you will be bursting to share them with your loyal followers.

Oh Sue, it sounds as though you're really struggling at the moment. It must be hard to cope with Steve's condition when you're on your own with him and on top of that your vision and hearing are below par. Is Steve expecting to go to the wedding? If so, how does he expect to get to it? Now that you no longer drive, is there another family member able to take you both? That at least would give you someone to be alongside you. Otherwise, perhaps consider sending your apologies and explaining the difficulties regarding transport, the dog, even Steve's problems and inability to cope. The person who invited you to the wedding must surely know your circumstances?

Settling in.

We're getting sorted slowly and are down to the last couple of boxes. These have Steve's name on them but if I don't want to be ...
