Cooler now

And a lot more comfortable.

Steve was out most of the day, he went to collect his prescription, I ordered it last week, it should have been ready to collect on Tuesday. It still wasn't ready this morning so Steve went across to the nearest Costa to have coffee whilst he waited for his prescription.

He then went into town for his breakfast and then on to the view the flat we are renting for a few weeks until our flat purchase is completed.

I packed more boxes ready for them to go into storage until we move into out flat.

I am glad it has cooled off a bit and good to get Steve out of the way while you finish up packing. Won't be long now until you are settled in your new place and I hope it all goes well for you!

I was concerned about you because of the heat and also because of the move. When I didn't see your post I hoped you were both o.k. and not too hot and that the move activities were going o.k. and had not been waylaid by your contrary mate. I give you so much credit for dealing with his disabilities caused by his stroke. A lesser woman would have folded by now.

Sounds like things are moving along well for you and Steve, Hester. Good luck to you both in your new situation.

Seems as if all will go well, I believe.
The heat must have been dreadful, we have some due here next week having escaped the last few weeks.

I don't comment often but always read your blog, sorry you are having to sell your boat.

Some time ago you said that you had a flat that you had purchased for when you went back on land is this the flat that you are going to be moving to?

I really admire how you deal with the problems your hubby has and its impact on you. Wishing you all the best.

It sounds like Steve had a very sensible day for once, and while doing so left you in peace to be able to get things organised a bit more.

Isn't the coolness so welcome after the heat at the start of the week.

The cooler weather is a relief after the scorching weather of late. Glad to hear you are betting on with the packing ready for leaving the boat and that you have somewhere to stay when it’s time to come ashore.x Catriona

I hope that you can treat the time at the rented flat as a holiday while you look forward to moving to your own home on land.
