The proverbial has hit the fan, a resident had an accident and despite three people pulling their emergency cord there was no response. Yet another money saving dodge by the housing association.
Steve had two appointments y'day so he was out almost all day. This meant I had a peaceful time of it, obviously he yelled at me when he arrived home. He was tired and the hospital procedure wasn't without its challenges. Fortunately he went to bed soon after his return home.
He has a Drs appointment this afternoon so another couple of hours peace. Nothing tomorrow but another appointment on Friday. Next week is full of appointments as far as I can see and then the week after he's back to the hospital.
Steve can't understand my lack of interest and care, he has forgotten how badly he treated me when I was in hospital.

Not responding to an emergency cord being pulled (or three) is absolutely unforgiveable. I think it's time to name and shame the housing complex in the local press and on the local Facebook group or X if any of the residents have accounts.
I Really agree with Sue!!
Unforgiveable!!

I read your blog regulary and it strikes me that possibly the Housing Group Site Owners are maybe running down your properties to make them less desirable to buy, leave some empty, withdraw services, etc.thus sending the values downwards. With the ultimate goal of selling the block off for redevelopment. I think you live in the Home Counties and the site could be worth a lot to a developer, as it already has planning for housing development? Food for thought?
What is the point of being in Sheltered Housing if there is no response to an alarm being pulled? Really shocking behaviour on the part of the Housing Association. Hope the person who fell finally got some help. Catriona
How scary for the person who needed help! Hope they are all right and the company who runs your place gets things fixed.
That's a lot of doctor appointments for Steve.
