If anyone is looking for me I'll be sat in a corner gibbering quietly to my self. For someone who hates moving I'm certainly mad, especially so close to Christmas.
I can't wait to get out of here, hopefully when I move I will be able to talk to the neighbours, go and watch the play's put on by the local Am/dram society, and join a couple of the club's held in the village hall.
I've got to the stage where I have no idea what I will have in my new home. I was prepared to have to start again from scratch and was gradually buying small cheap items to manage with.
Then my son decided not to look for another housemate, his housemate is moving in with her boyfriend and my son has decided to buy a property, until then he is staying with his dad. Because of this, my son has given me all his house contents, some I can keep and some I'm just storing until he finds the house he wants.
I'm sure it will all work out just fine but the waiting is difficult.

I do feel for you, the waiting must be hell. I'm sure you can't wait to get in the new place with Beano and start your new happy and free life.
just take a deep breath and say to yourself "This, too, shall pass". The feeling of relief when you are finally free of this prison life you have been living will tide you through anything else that comes your way. That being said, watch your back!
Sending hugs.
I'll want to send a housewarming, so please let me know if you'd like to share ideas. LM x
I think I will be almost as glad as you are when you get moved. So hard to wait, but nothing you can do to speed things up. Frustrating. Once again you have made me laugh. The picture of you sitting in a corner gibbering! Thank you for the humor. Great that you have that, what with all you have to contend with!
Sending really positive thoughts that you will soon be in your new home. Catriona
Sending hugs, and hope that your move will be sooner rather than later.
Take what you know you'll need, not just think you'll need, and you can use his things if you need to. At the end of the day, if you walked out with nothing you are a survivor. (Not that I'm suggesting you do!)
The waiting is very stressful but once you're in your new home you will have time to relax and more importantly do activities and have the opportunity to be yourself. Take care till then. Josie
Everything will work out just fine. Pretty soon, you and Beano will be able to enjoy life, and be happy! Cali
Waiting is the worst thing. Knowing you will be going soon and just waiting for it to happen is so hard. I wish you some peace in the waiting and that soon you will begin your new life. Carole R
Thinking of you and I know how excited you must feel, waiting to move. Hope son gets it all sorted! How sweet of him to give you his things!
Time will pass quickly! Be ready…
Hugs

Stay focused on all the interesting social clubs etc you can joy. Stay focused on having your own home to do whatever you want to do. Stay focused on freedom. Sending love. June xx
Just think, this time in a couple of monthes you will have a freedom which has been denied to you for far too long now! Let's all look forward for you and lovely Beano, no more telling off and shouting at the pair of you, yahoo!! Sandra
I can totally get how hard the waiting is. Every time I look in I hope that you will be on the move. It can't come soon enough. It will be wonderful for you to be free. I really hope it will be soon.
I hope it's soon , the waiting and not being able to organise yourself as you normally would with a move is mind bending, but it will all be worth it once you have that key . Independence day is coming soon!
It's exciting that your move is getting closer and closer, and actually as someone who has moved house A LOT at Christmas time, I have to say although you are busy it is the perfect time of the year to be able to say, right that's enough, dim the lights so you can't see all the boxes, and settle down to some nice food and watch television ...with no guilt whatsoever.
I wonder what Steve is thinking on the quiet? He seems to have accepted that you are leaving, but has he processed what he expects will happen to his way of life when you're no longer there. I half hope he carries on drinking and eating his fatty, unhealthy foodstuffs . . . . . I long to read all about your visits to various clubs and neighbours, and those lovely grandchildren visiting and brightening your life. Beano will be able to relax as well thank goodness.
Oops! I think I was posting as 'Anonymous'. Love from Rambler / aka Rosemary xx
How nice that your son is helping you out. Can't wait for you and Beano to be settled and happy in your new place.
Maybe you could make an Amazon wish list and give us the link? I read that Lyssa wants to send you something and as a reader since the Katy the lodger days, I would like to send you something too. Can't wait until the Great Escape. You'll be relieved and sad too I know but the future is looking brighter 😊
