It's 10:30 at night, I'm watching tv with half an eye and also browsing online. I can smell cigarette smoke, it's strong and very clear.
Only no one in the house smokes, not me or my L&M, he gave up smoking 4 or 5 years ago.
It's not the first time I've smelt it, but I'm not sure why.

From Margie in Toronto - you've certainly had a very rough and exhausting week - I hope you get at least a bit of a rest this weekend. You need to look after yourself as well as everyone else!
please have this checked out, having olfactory hallucinations can be a sign of an organic illness
I would echo what Anonymous above said. But also this: my next door neighbour smokes, and tends to smoke outside (she has grandchildren she looks after, so doesn't inflict it on them in her house). It is surprising how much of that smoke, the smell, can come into our house, even when the windows and door are all closed. Sometimes its not even her but someone passing. Do you have ventilation slots in the wall or windows? Sometimes those can act in very strange ways to pull in air from the outside in ways that are unanticipated.
*hugggggs*... hope you get the mystery solved.
I don't want to build false hope but was your Dad a smoker???
Thanks Margie.
Anon, I will get checked out if it happens more regularly.
Keth, my neighbours don't smoke, my doors were shut & there are no ventilation slots in the house.
MSM, no my Dad wasn't a smoker, but I was thinking along those lines.
