I'm probably not allowed sugar as I'm allegedly diabetic.
BUT.
Living with Steve isnt easy, especially when the weather is damp and gloomy. He hates rainy days and complains non-stop
He frequently starts moaning within seconds of getting up. And everything that upsets him is my fault. It's my fault we had to leave the boat because I became unwell.
Today I went to the summer house to join in the quiz, I did very badly as it was a musical quiz and I couldn't hear the tunes but it was good to be with people who weren't complaining.
Within seconds of the last quiz questions Steve came over to the summer house with Beano to collect me. My time was obviously up!
In an attempt to avoid a murder charge I have bought a packet of Cadbury chocolate fingers. These I keep in the cupboard, if I manage not to shout at Steve or beat him about the head with a blunt instrument. I allow myself one chocolate finger once he's gone to bed!

Well done. Hugs.
Mine goes to bed 6.30pm and I can then breathe deeply again and recover - until he's up 5.30am ish next day - I rarely ate sweet things - but since he retired I need something sweet-even a cup of tea with honey for the shock of the nonsensical behaviour x
Flis, mine goes to bed about 8 or 9 but sleeps until 10 usually.
He had cleverly recently been saying he's concerned about me - And he is contacting a social worker because the house is untidy - I said " good please do and I shall ask for help with you "- he looked worried x
I know you keep your wedding promises, but - based on your blogs - doesn't the 'in sickness and in health' mean making sure that he gets appropriate care? Maybe in a facility that deals with this specifically?
Siebrie, there is nothing available and even if there was, Steve doesn't accept that he has problems.
Bless your heart. (I’d probably be charged with murder)
A friend of mine had a stroke several years ago. Her husband has been diagnosed with PTSD from taking care of her. I never see any issues although she can have an acid tongue. (And, i don’t live with her.)

One packet is not going to last you very long!!
A good idea though and one finger, even numerous times a day will not be too bad for your blood sugar. Gosh, I think I would be drinking wine by the bottle by now.
Smaller life, I've been told NO sugar at all under any circumstances. I shall lie about the biscuits to the Drs.
Whatever works for you!
Sone men will never realize how well off they are...until it's too late...and some Never will, even then!
