On Friday's we have a Tesco delivery, it's usually booked for 11 a.m.
On Friday Steve gets up by 9 a.m. to give himself about two hours of panic time.
As he panics and paces between the flat and the car park he is also ranting on, so Beano finds this very stressful.
I stay calm and try to keep Beano calm as well, the problem with this is that Steve actually wants us to be as stressed as he is.
He cannot understand why I'm so calm, but we've been having deliveries for years now. When we were on the boat we would moor near a road bridge and provide Tesco with the bridge number so the drivers knew where they could park.
For Steve it's any excuse to panic and rant he seems to find it necessary!

Hope he does not get blown away or soaked tomorrow or that could be extra stressful!!
Perhaps this is just an outlet for all the stress he feels about his life has been dealt but cannot identify.
Sounds familiar to me - Mine gets stressed about quite normal things - He won't be ignored - He speaks more nonsense until I just busy myself elsewhere - He refuses to see his Dr as he claims there's nothing wrong with him and that I have Alzheimer's to suggest it x
Funny thing with supermarket deliveries is when they attempt to insist on taking your groceries to your door for you... and I explain that my boat is moored a mile and a half down the (soggy) towpath! Mind you, waiting out for them when they only arrive at the end or after the end of the delivery slot can be a pain in the wotsit (especially if the weather's lousy). Glad that they deliver though, things would be a lot more diffibode if they didn't! :-)
Perhaps he needs it as a sort of pressure relief valve, maybe two deliveries a week for a while would get him a little bit calmer. Of course that could also mean that you and poor Beano get twice as bothered by it all.
