Going, going GONE!!!!!!!

The Denby china has gone, I got £76 for it, I promptly spent £45 of it on socks for my DGC and £12 on 4 plain white pasta bowls.

The books have gone, all posted finally.

My L&M's 10 spare fleeces have gone to CIRDIC. Mind you, only I would drop off 10 warm fleeces to a homeless charity in the middle of a heatwave. They were happy to receive them and I made a cash donation as well.

I'm just waiting for a phone call from another local charity about getting the furniture collected.

Confused..could you please explain why you are liquidating all of your things and selling your house to move into a tiny apartment...? I thought I was told it was so you could spend the money on your grandchildren? Are they moving in with you? Sorry...I guess they have no parents and you have custody?

Hi Lynda
I've recently had a pay cut and hubby's job is changing, we are downsizing so we can retire. It's nothing to do with the grandchildren.

Well done, and all the money (sock money and the cash to the homeless charity) going to good causes.

Hope that's you on holiday now and hope you have some time to yourself. Your hearing aid story was fantastic I seem to be seeing more and more people wearing them. I don't think my DH has quite grasped that he needs one but I've decided to stop repeating myself in the hope that he will a. Listen to me or b. Get his hearing tested! I am still decluttering but trying to take my time and really remove thatwhich is neither beautiful or useful from our home. Hope the weather isneing kind-weare suffering in the middle belt of Scotland with high humidty which makes me exhausted. Catriona

Glad your making a dent in the clutter. It must be that time if year, we're clearing out lots too.

this is for reminding me that I need to call a local charity too to pick up some furniture...I have coats set aside to donate once it cools off...my retiring is still about 10 years away...but I can dream...

You have done really well and congrats on getting a tidy little sum for the china as well making the donations - a few months from now they will be well appreciated.
I understand that you are having a terrible heatwave at the moment so please be careful and don't overdo things - you do deserve a bit of a rest too!

Bloody hell! My oldest son and his girlfriend are visiting tomorrow. I didn't realise until after I offered to do a buffet for them that...
