Ageism

I've seen a job that I want, that I know I could do but I'm barred because of my age, it's just not fair.

I want to be a sugar babe, I know I'd be perfect for the job.

I'm a good actress and I could look adoringly at the millionaire who was paying me.
I could wear a bikini, ok I wouldn't look good but I could still wear one.
I can converse on many different subjects in an intelligent manner.
I don't have a passport but that could be rectified.
I really think that I missed my calling in life!

That's just so UNFAIR and so funny, love your sense of humour. I suspect statistics are more sought after than intellect.

OMG - you do make me laugh! I wouldn't qualify either and yes, I suspect you r wit and intelligence would also work against you (really not required for that sort of position)! :-)

Sorry to hear about your hubby. Do think carefully about buying another boat versus living in a flat/house. As you both age and if hubby were to get worse you would have great difficulty getting on/off the boat and moving around/doing normal everyday things. Take care of yourselves

Oh, honey, I don’t think you need to converse intelligently. Being intelligent would probably count against you. Just practice looking wide- eyed and nodding yes.

I think it’s outrageous! There’s you wanting to work, finding yourself the perfect job and then, being thwarted by prejudice and narrow mindedness! Get in touch with the press, the pubic need to know, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ken Loach gets hold of this .......I feel a bafta coming on .....Sue x
