My kitchen is 5ft by 7.3. So no room for a trolley.

I used to have a galley kitchen and loved it. You could stand in one space and manage everything. Only time I had problems was when I was expecting my third child and I was eight months I managed to knock everything off the sides and then forgot to dampen the mince pie lids and they flew off as I took them from the oven. Happy days. I do hope you will be happy in your new home. From what you have shown us it looks very nice and so tidy to say you have just moved. It must be so good to have your own things around you. Hope you hubby settles and your eyesight improves. Much love Merry Christmas. Love Andi xxx

Never had a galley kitchen, I am sure there is sufficient room to move around, once all of your belongs find their permanent home. It takes a while to get everything sorted.
Looking good.

It's a good job you got used to working in a small space on the boat.

My kitchen is long and narrow, just over 5ft wide and about 12ft long if you count the fridge freezer which is next to the front door, and it's also my hallway, so I have to fit in what I can. I have my microwave on the breakfast bar, which is also the shelf over the radiator ... and my desk.

No NEED for a trolley. I think it would be much easier to keep tidy.

I have a tiny kitchen, too. The trouble comes when my husband comes around wondering what’s to eat! We call it ‘the one butt kitchen’. I love living in a small space, though. Easier to keep on top of things, when i feel like it! You’ll love it, too!

Thanks for sharing a photo of your new kitchen and will be interested to hear how you settle in to using the space. Catriona

You'll like the convenience of that galley layout, once you've settled all your equipment in their proper arrangement. Hopefully, it will combine the efficiency of the boat's galley with the mod cons -- unlimited hot/water -- of land-living.

My kitchen isn't very large-I used to wish it was bigger but realistically if it was I would only fill it with clutter x

It looks well designed and very compact - everything to hand!

It's not a secret.

Y'day while Steve was out with his friend Bob, Betty phoned and asked if I'd like to go and get the cheap vegetables from the nearby...
