I haven't been able to get warm all day, the only heating we use in the flat is the very old storage heater in the living room. It's very big but inefficient and ugly.
We neither of us like heat in the bedroom and the only other heater is a huge electric radiator in the bathroom. It is a big radiator in a tiny bathroom so Steve turns it on for an hour or two before he showers. I don't use it as I mainly shower when I get up so I don't want to wait for the radiator to warm up.
My daughter showed me this, I thought it was very funny.

I'm cold too - It's a very draughty house with only a wood burner for warmth - The central heating is only switched on rarely because of the cost - Fleece is our savoiour - No carpets which makes it worse - duvets on the floor - Dogs wear warm coats - I have a electric throw which cost £70 I think which is wonderful xx
I've been feeling the cold for the past week or two, I've found if I get really cold (having to go outside e.g.) it takes ages for me to get warmed up again. Like flis, I have fleece throws everywhere.
Storage heaters can be tricky to rely on, and I understand how challenging it can be without more efficient heating. I hope you manage to find some ways to warm up soon!
Thanks for sharing the funny thing your daughter showed you! I hope it brought a smile to your face despite the cold.
I just shared a new post; let me know what you think. Have a lovely weekend ahead.
I picked up a small inexpensive space heater that I can use to warm a small area when I'm watching TV or sitting at the computer. They have lots to choose from that are safer and don't get too hot to the touch.
Currently in study which isn't too cold as I'm sharing it with DH, bear, with two laptops, one PC and an Xbox in use, a large candle lit and I've got a shawl around my shoulders and a blanket on my knees. We have a fan heater that we switch on now and again but we've started setting a timer so that we have it on for twenty minutes at a time to take any chill off the room. I'm considering getting a hot water bottle out for my feet.
That video is awesome!
The video has made me laugh on a wet and windy day so thank you for that x
