New dress

I bought myself three new dresses, two were £12.99 one was £19.99. I usually buy second hand but I fell in love with these so treated my self. They are from Global Mandala.

Mine are in different colours as I'm a mucky bugger and anything light coloured gets ruined.

That dress is lovely and you deserve to treat yourself.I usually buy most of my clothes from charity shops but I'm not sure if I will feel comfortable returning when they open again x

Very pretty. I wish I could still wear dresses but now that my legs and ankles are bad I am afraid it is trousers for me.

Love the dress. Sadly at 71 my arms are always covered as not a pretty sight otherwise.

That is a pretty dress for you! I never wear dresses anymore - jeans or capris for me now that I am retired. Especially during the stay at home, I feel good that I get dressed each day, altho, it has been getting later and later in the morning. :)

Sue, is it OK if I reply to Weaver's comment please? I know it's not really good etiquette to start a conversation on someone elses blog.

Weaver, I have circulation related issues which means I have to wear a compression stocking on one leg. This has ruled out skirts, dresses and shorts for many years, and so I usually wear trousers or jeans.

A couple of years ago I deided to make myself some maxi skirts. They are fantastic, so much more comfortable in the heat. I wonder if that might be an option for you (maxi skirts, not necessarily nmaking them yourself)? It's so much more comfortable in the heat.

The dress is lovely, I wish I could find some like that which would fit my short body.

The dress is really lovely. I am also going to look on the site. I am sure you will feel great when you wear them and the prices seem very reasonable.
I was also going to suggest long skirts, I wear them a lot and feel comfortable in them. I think they are best on tall people, at least that is what my Welsh friend ( who is 5 ft 2 in) tells me.

Stew

Y'days lamb was delicious and there is lots left. So today I'm making a stew, I'll use half of the left over lamb and add onion ...
