Definitely a damp squib

As Alison says today has definitely been a damp squib.

It's not a big birthday, I'm 69 but it would have been nice to see my kids.

Afternoon tea had been planned but cancelled due to lockdown.

Still first world problems.

Steve and I are planning a trip to the garden centre on Monday, weather permitting.

They may have their Christmas display up and it will be nice to see all the sparkly stuff.

Happy Birthday, I know how you feel, I had my 79th last weekend, no celebrations here either, not taking any chances.
Hope you have a nice visit to the garden centre, I like doing that too. Look at all the things that are way too expensive, costs nothing to look. Some of the stores here in London, Ontario Canada are playing Christmas music, much too early in my way of thinking.
We have snow, lots of snow today. Slip by my blog I will be posting a photo I took this morning.

Happy Birthday, Hester. Felt the same a few days ago. Still we are luckier than many in this world like you said first world problems. I hope when lockdown is over in the U.K. we can both go out and see our families. Have a good evening anyway. Sally from Ramsgate

Hope you enjoyed your Birthday Sue, despite this bloody lockdown situation we find ourselves in!
Hopefully, with luck, we'll be able to have a bit of freedom by next spring, we deserve it, and we NEED it!
We're not taking any chances here, as I'm in a vulnerable group, so there'll be no visits to our usual pre Christmas haunts this year, but we'll make the best of things, as ever!
Hoping you got to the Garden Centre today, with lots of blingy things, and maybe even singing reindeer or penguins!!! X

I see a lot of Christmas things up. Perhaps last year I would have thought it was silly to decorate so early. This year, I am pleased to see it!

Wardrobe

We have a wardrobe in the bedroom that was left by the previous resident. It is perfectly sound but it smells of stinky feet. I've tried...
