Fortunately we are having Christmas lunch at DD1's , Boxing day we are visiting DS1.
I say fortunately as my oven has just stopped working.
Hey ho, I'm not rushing about trying to source another one until after Christmas.
I'll manage with the hob for a while.

I read you blog every time you post something, but have never commented until today. I don't know how you cope. I know just how you are feeling, as I looked after my late husband for many years. He had serious heart problems and was diabetic. The only way I coped was to tell myself. "There are people out there which a lot worse off that I am". Hang in there.
Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you.

Thank you Pat, it's not an easy road is it. I'm looking on the bright side though as we do have the money to buy a new cooker. It would be so much worse if we couldn't afford it.
